Professional background
Anna graduated from the University of Reading in 2000 with a BSc Honours degree in Agricultural Economics. She initially worked as a farm business advisor and in agricultural policy before joining the National Trust in 2007 as an Assistant Rural Surveyor where she gained a Post Graduate diploma in Surveying from the College of Estate Management and qualified as a Chartered Rural Surveyor.
Since qualifying Anna has worked as a Senior Rural Surveyor and Estate manager for large Estates and Charities in Northern England and for the last 4 years has worked in the Natural Capital sector.
With a strong background in rural estate management and environmental land management she is responsible for a variety of work from rural surveying to advising on natural capital, valuations, planning and stewardship.
Away from work
Anna lives on a smallholding in Northumberland with her husband, two sons, two dogs and array of bees, hens, pigs and cows. She is a keen cricketer and actively involved in supporting the junior section of the local cricket club.
