COMING SOON SFI 2026
Your farm business can apply in Window 1 if :
- Your business already had an SBI with the Rural Payments Agency before 1 January 2026, and there was agricultural land linked to that SBI.
- Your business is either: A small farm (50 hectares or less). or A farm that does not already have an Environmental Land Management revenue agreement such as SFI, CS, or ES.
- At the time you apply, your SBI must have at least 3 hectares of agricultural land linked to it.
Important details: the 3-hectare rule is only for eligibility to apply — it does not mean you must enter all 3 hectares into the agreement, AND you must meet all of the above criteria.
If you qualify for Window 1 but miss it, you can still apply when Window 2 opens in September.
