DEFRA has just released the third version of the Environmental Improvement Plan.
Separate Delivery Plans are now available for the following areas. Each plan outlines a pathway to its headline target and identifies the key measures intended to support delivery:
• Agriculture Water Quality Delivery Plan
• Farm Wildlife Delivery Plan
• Habitat Creation and Restoration Delivery Plan
• Protected Sites Delivery Plan

For most farm businesses Water Quality is going to be the main area of concern, with a commitment from the government to increase the budget for farm compliance inspections by 120% by 2029.
Early engagement with Catchment Sensitive Farming will help to identify issues on the farm which might be eligible for grant funding.
